Disgrace - J.M. Coetzee
I didn't like this one as much as DoaBY, but it is, perhaps, truer to his style. more of a straightforward story, i am impressed with Coetzee's ability to shed unnecessary description and dialogue. his books are trimmed and clean, honed to a sharpness that seems almost prophetic, or a allegorical. i only liked Disgrace less because i found it harder to relate to the characters, but i can't much complain about this. also, it felt like there is less of a 'point' to this novel, but i'm willing to admit i may have just missed it.
