The Name of the Rose - Umberto Eco
Simpler than Foucault's Pendulum, more straightforward. very much an homage to Doyle. the philosophical dialogues weren't hidden as well and thus easier to digest in a way. good book for traveling around. a beach-book for someone who burns easily.
